Phi Alpha Xi Description:

The organization is a non-secret, non-profit, scholastic, honor, educational-service organization, for certain students, faculty and staff at Ohio University Southern that recognizes and encourages excellence in education, promotes the development of leadership ability and character in the members thereof and fosters, disseminates, and improves education by appropriate service projects.

1. Initial Qualifications

a. Enrolled as a full or part time undergraduate student in
a program leading to an Associate or Bachelor s
Degree.

b. Completion of at least one (1) quarter (12 credit
hours)excluding any pass-fail work or hours awarded
due to placement tests or

c. A ranking within the top 20 percentage of the academic
class

d. A commitment to excellence in community, integrity
and scholarship

e. Payment a one time $20.00 Induction Membership Fee
