The mission of Career Services is to assist students with all types of career issues and to support the career goals of students with counseling, workshops, job search, and other services.
Career Services is located in the Learning, Assessment and Career Resource Center (LACRC)
Room 212 in the Collins Building.
- Individual advising is available by scheduled appointment or during walk-in hours
- Walk-in hours are Monday-Thursday (8:00-5:00)
- Assistance is provided with choice of major, career direction, and job search information
Self assessment exercises are available to assist students in areas related to career interests, strengths, and goals. Focus II Computerized Career Guidance Program is available in the LACRC.
Information is provided through workshops and individual appointments on a wide range of topics including resume writing, cover letters, job search strategies, and effective interviewing techniques.
Assistance and information are available to OUS students on the link to Bobcat On-Line Job Search services through Athens Career Services Office (open to current year graduates and alumni).
Current employment opportunities are posted in the LACRC (Display Board or Jobs Notebook)
