Prepare for the OUS Graduation Recognition Ceremony by attending this special Grad Fair event. You’ can pick up your cap, gown and tassel, get information about the recognition ceremony, pre-order your graduation video, and receive tips on student loan repayment and exit counseling. There will also be help with resume creation and interviewing. A special workshop on “Achieving Financial Independence” will be offered at 1pm that day.

The OUS student Psychology Club: ACTION is hosting a mental health fair that is open to the student body, staff, and the community. More than 21 local agencies that provide related services will be on site to offer information about their support services. Dr. William Webb will speak about the stigma of seeking treatment for mental health and substance abuse issues.
The 2014 Student Recognition Ceremony will be held in the Mains Rotunda at
6:30 p.m. on April 25th.
Outstanding Graduates, officers and graduating members of student organizations,
and students who have achieved significant honors will be recognized.

11th Annual Bernard L. Edwards Golf Tournament
Mon, May 5 at Guyan GoIf & Country Club (Huntington, WV)
This annual golf outing features a scramble format, with a shotgun start at 1pm on tournament day. The cost for a team of four is $600; $150 for individual players. Introduction to Riding and Learning Basic Horsemanship Skills
May 13,15,20,22, 27, & 29 5:30-7:30pm
Riders will have the opportunity to learn basic horse behavior, handling, grooming, tacking (saddling) and riding during the six sessions listed. Maximum riders in the class - 10. Minimum riders in the class - 4. Materials needed for the course: Certified Horsemanship Association Level 1 Manual (available at the Ohio Horse Park for purchase).

Mountwest and Ohio University Community College Partnership
Mountwest students who have an applied associate degree from Mountwest Community & Technical College can earn an Ohio University bachelor’s degree without leaving the Huntington area.
The courses you must take from Ohio University can be completed online, but Mountwest students also have the convenient option of in-person classes at OU Proctorville Center or at OU Southern Campus in Ironton.
