Help make your community a little brighter this spring:
The Fifth Annual Lawrence Countywide Cleanup Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 4th at 9 am. Once again, Ohio University Southern and Ohio University Proctorville will be participating but we are in need of volunteers. Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and refreshments following the cleanup.
DATE/TIME: Saturday, May 4th
LOCATION: Student Services at both Ironton and Proctorville

May 13: First summer & full summer session opening date
May 17: Last day to register for first summer session
May 24: Last day to register for full summer semester
Jun 28: Last day to withdraw (drop all classes) for first summer session
July 1: Second summer session opening date
July 5: Last day to register for second summer session
Aug 2: Last day to drop a class for second summer session
SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID:
Students are encouraged to complete the 2013-14 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible. Complete the online application at: www.fafsa.ed.gov Workshops are available at both Ironton and Proctorville if students need assistance, contact student services.
PROVOST'S UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH FUND
The Provost's Undergraduate Research Fund provides grants of $100-1500 for undergraduate students on the Athens and regional campuses of Ohio University. Grants must be used for expenses related to research, scholarly or creative projects. The 2013-14 guidelines and application form are available on the following web sites:

The application deadline is September 27, 2013.

Mountwest and Ohio University Community College Partnership
Mountwest students who have an applied associate degree from Mountwest Community & Technical College can earn an Ohio University bachelor’s degree without leaving the Huntington area.
The courses you must take from Ohio University can be completed online, but Mountwest students also have the convenient option of in-person classes at OU Proctorville Center or at OU Southern Campus in Ironton.

KENTUCKY STUDENTS
Kentucky students must fill out the Reciprocal Agreement form to receive Ohio’s in-state tuition rate. Forms can be found at Student Services.
IDENTIFICATION POLICY CHANGE
ALL students are required to show a valid Student ID with PID numbers for identification at Student Services. Social Security cards will no longer be accepted to access your file information.
