Question: How can I play a DVD in my class?

Answer: If you are assigned a Smart Room for your class, your class room is already equipped with a ceiling mounted projector that is connected to a PC as well as a DVD/VCR player. So you can play your DVD on the PC’s DVD drive or on the DVD/VCR. If you are assigned a TEC Room, your class room is equipped with a ceiling mounted projector and the cables needed to connect it to your laptop. So, if you have a laptop with DVD drive, hook it up to the projector and play your DVD on your laptop. If you do not have a laptop, reserve one at the TASC lab and check it out before you go to your class. If your class room is neither a Smart Room nor a TEC Room, please reserve a Smart Cart or TV/DVD/VCR cart from TASC lab.

If your class room is not a Smart Room, please contact TASC lab to reserve a Smart Cart or TV/DVD/VCR cart. Please note that we encourage all our instructors to convert their VHS tapes to DVDs so that they can be played on a PC or laptop or DVD player. TASC lab could help you with the conversion.
