Our Goal
To increase the number of students who aspire to, prepare for, and succeed in post-secondary education. Post-secondary education may include a four-year university or college, two-year college, technical college, or a specialized training program.

Our Origin
GEAR UP is a federal program which encourages more young people to have high expectations, stay in school, take challenging courses, and go to college. GEAR UP provides federal education funding for both local partnership grants and state grants. The Ohio Board of Regents administers the state GEAR UP grant.

Our Location
The GEARUP Office is located in the green house on 1011 Kemp Lane. Someone is usually in the office between the hours of 8:00a.m. and 5:00p.m. However, our mailing address is 1804 Liberty Ave. Ironton, OH 45638.
