Dear Alumni and Friends:
Private philanthropy has had a rich and dramatic impact at Ohio University Southern Campus. The recently completed Bicentennial Campaign brought the level of giving up to historic proportions. The Southern Campus raised more than $4.9 million for a wide variety of programs and projects, most notably nearly $1 million for scholarships and more than $1.5 million for construction of a new center in Proctorville.
I know that as one of our thousands of alumni and loyal community members you share a pride in what is happening at our campus. The margin of excellence that underlies this pride is made possible by the generous private support of alumni and friends like you.
The Southern Campus works continually to enhance the educational experience for all of our students – both traditional and non-traditional. Among Southern’s exciting initiatives that will benefit from your support are:
• The new 2-year associate’s degree program in Nursing, which is already making a name for itself with a 65 percent retention rate for students advancing to the 2nd year, the highest rate within the Ohio University system.
• Ongoing support of innovative programming and technological enhancements through gifts to the Bill W. Dingus Technology Center.
• Our equine studies program, which is housed on a 184-acre tract of land, 12 miles from campus. The nationally recognized program is drawing students from across the country.
For more information on making a gift to the Southern Campus visit http://www.ohio.edu/development. Or make a gift online at www.ohio.edu/give.
Your contribution will help our students achieve their dreams and will support the programs that enable their achievement.
Thank you for your generosity and loyalty to Ohio University.
Dr. William Willan
