Ohio Horse Park 2011 Event Schedule

OU Southern Equine Studies at Equine Affaire in Columbus, Ohio
Equine Studies will be recruiting at Equine Affaire at the Ohio Expo Center in
Columbus, Ohio April 12th through April 15th.

OUS Western Equestrian Team Member Goes To IHSA National Show

Whitney Arrowood is a first year Equine Studies student. She joined the Western Equestrian Team and showed for the first time ever this fall at the Willmington College Show. She started the season with zero points and went on to get 40 in eight horse shows. 35 points is what it takes to make it to the regional horse show. This is quite an accomplishment in one year, the point system is 7 points for 1st, 5 for 2nd, 4 for 3rd, 3 for 4th, 2 for 5th, and 1 for 6th.

At the regional show March 13, 2011, Whitney placed 2nd and this advanced her on to semi-finals at West Texas A&M on March 25-27 in Canyon, Texas. In the semi-finals a rider must place in the top four of their class to go on to the IHSA National Show. This year it is being held at the Kentucky Horse Park the first week in May.
