Scholarship Courses

In order to be eligible for scholarship courses, students must complete all Tech Prep high school coursework required for the interactive Media Program and meet the following criteria.

  • A grade of "B" or above in each progam area course.
  • An overall high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  • Portfolio included but not limited to writing sample (script), and two of three projects. You may choose from video, audio or multimedia.
  • Recommendation of program instructor.

Applicants must also meet all of Ohio University's admission requirements and enroll in the Electronic Media, A.A.S. degree program as a fulltime student. Students need to enter the above degree program within one year of high school graduation to be eligible for Tech Prep Interactive Media Scholarship courses.

Available Tech Scholarship Courses - A.A.S. (Electronic Media)

Student entering Audio / Video sequence will be eligible for:

EM 211 Intro to Audio Production 4 hours
* EM 216 Intro to Video Production 4 hours
 
Total:
8 hours

Students entering Multimedia (graphic design) sequence will be eligible for:

EM 212 Intro to Multimedia 4 hours
* EM 216 Intro to Video Production 4 hours
 
Total:
8 hours

*Students must earn a grade of "B" or above in the EM 211 or EM 212 to receive scholarship for EM 216.
