This Ohio University Leadership Project (OULP) cohort involves a group of treasurers who meet on a regular basis to listen to and engage in discussion with experts regarding selected topics that are relevant and timely to the operation of their districts’ financial operations.
 |
The participants also share solutions with each other regarding pressing financial issues. The overall objective of the cohort is to help the treasurers to be able to provide leadership focused upon effective financial operations and ultimately successful student learning. The cohort is rather self-directed in that the treasurers provide an enormous amount of input regarding the topics, speakers, dates, and locations for the seminars. |
The treasurers’ seminars have been focused upon regulations evolving from state legislation and related state agencies such as the Office of the Auditor of the State of Ohio and the Ohio Department of Education.
The treasures particularly have attended to the ramifications of the legislation and regulations and how they might be implemented with effective leadership and consideration of effective approaches to change. |
