Linda Littleton and Karen Hirshon, the Simple Gifts Duo, will offer a free folk musician’s workshop on Friday November 11, 2011 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Mains Rotunda in the Riffe Building.

Community and student musicians will bring their instruments to play together in a band setting. The workshop will address issues of playing in a folk ensemble, including how to get a cohesive band sound and how to arrange folk music to be interesting to an audience.

The group will work together to arrange a piece of music to be performed during the public concert Saturday.
