A learning community is an intentional clustering of courses that a small group of students (the learning community) takes in common. This allows the students to develop a deeper understanding of the courses’ subject matter while building relationships and learning together outside the classroom.
First year students at Ohio University Southern may choose to participate in one of five Learning Communities. Each community consists of two linked courses and will include social/engagement activities hosted by the community’s peer leader.
