Richard D. White, a native of Beaufort, South Carolina, drew pictures of comic book heros as a child. In 1983, he traveled the world with the United States Navy developing artistic influences from eclectic sources. A self-taught multimedia artist, Richard plays the drums, guitar, and keyboards in addition to his current explorations on canvas. Richard believes music and art form a natural marriage.

Richard's works on currently on display at De Gullah Creations (Hilton Head Island, SC), Lybenson's Gallery, The House of Ahhs (Beaufort, SC), Village Art Emporium (Port Royal, SC), and The Red Piano Too (St. Helena Island, SC). Plans are underway for Richard to visit Ohio University Southern as an "artist in residence" during the 2007-08 academic year.
