NAAAS Conference 2005
The Houston Westside OMNI Hotel serves as the annual site for the National Association of African American Studies Conference. The Cafe on the Lake (top left pic) provides a first-rate breakfast and/or brunch for conference participants. The design of the hotel's Atrium (top right pic) features an inside-outside lake for wildlife ranging from turtles to exotic fish (see bottom pics also). Patricia Joyce Jarrett (bottom left pic) served as photographer and assistant during the 2005 conference proceedings. Conference participants were treated to vendors (bottom right pic) with products designed for personal use or for the home The NAAAS Conference has been held on an annual basis at the Houston Westside OMNI Hotel during the month of February.
