NAAAS Conference 2004

The Houston Westside OMNI Hotel (top left pic) serves as the annual site for the National Association of African American Studies Conference.  Jacob Evan Thayer (top right pic) personally supervised security for Dr. Charles W. Jarrett throughout the conference proceedings.  Jacob Evan Thayer is the youngest owner/operator of a security firm (Cul de Sac Security) in the United States, and Jacob will be attending (if not working) the upcoming George W. Bush Inauguration Celebration in Washington, DC.  The Houston Westside OMNI Hotel features a restaurant and lounge area (bottom left pic) for conference participants who wish to enjoy an evening meal or a game of table shuffleboard.  In 2004, conference participants were treated to vendors (bottom right pic) with products designed for personal use or for the home and garden.  The NAAAS Conference is held on an annual basis at the Houston Westside OMNI Hotel during the month of February. For information on the 2005 NAAAS Conference (to be held February 14-19, 2005), please contact NAAAS & Affiliates at PO Box 325, Biddeford, Maine (207) 839-8004 or contact naaasgrp@webcom.org

The pictures above reflect the natural beauty and creativity of the atrium area of the Houston Westside OMNI Hotel located at 13210 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas.  Please contact (281) 558-8338 for information on hotel accommodations.
