Passage of Faith

Passage of Faith is a novel by Charles Jarrett to be released in 2009 by Joggling Board Press of Charleston, South Carolina. The novel introduces the postmodern theme that technological progress and material consumption are affecting an imbalance in the human condition. The protagonist (Arlen Curtis) connects with the spirituality of a group of people indigenous to the Lowcountry of South Carolina (Gullah/Geechees) and transforms his lifestyle into a more meaningful existence. Arlen embraces a complicated passage to self-realization by trusting his intuition and practicing a healthy balance of the mental, physical, and emotional aspects of life. Joggling Board Press is dedicated to the production of fiction and non-fiction books of quality that amplify the history, culture, and character of the American southeast.
